January News
The new Paving Site Online magazine was officially launched on November 29th at Manor Court, Didcot, home of the Horticultural Trades Association, being both an excellent and independent venue for such an occasion. With a ‘full house’ attendance of over fifty of the most successful suppliers, stockists and paving experts in the UK, Gareth and Alan presented the new venture, receiving a warm reception from the gathering.
Irish landscapers and designers were represented by Michael O’Rielly, from the Irish Garden and Landscape Designers Association (GLDA). Michael has a very strong association with the British landscaping community, as well as a world-wide following as a designer and editor of the Compass magazine. He was very keen to learn more about the new Paving Site magazine, and see possibilities and reaction at first hand during the launch presentation.
The magazine welcomes paving installers from any location – world wide – with similar climate and temperature conditions. We can all learn from each other, offering encouragement and advice to fellow pavers. Readers from the United States, Europe and beyond can all promote their methods in the International Section, which will be launched as soon as we have copy.
Even before the online magazine was launched, Paving Site had over twenty sponsors, all top- quality suppliers and manufacturers of paving materials and associated products. This backing allowed us to produce a professional website, working with Kieran Murray, who cut his teeth working with Tilers Tools and Aquacut. We are grateful to Kieran for his excellent work.
During the course of 2025, we will strive to keep you up to date with events, news, initiatives, training courses, techniques, developments, legislation, regulations, products and materials, and training courses – anything to do with paving and associated works.
Also looking forward, to Spring 2025, we are very keen to promote the new Landscape and Tile Show at Haydock Park, where Paving Site will be on hand (Gareth) as answer questions about paving in general, and offering advice on any related subject – plus, of course, about displaying your work in the magazine, or becoming a sponsor, keen to become involved in helping us to promote professional paving. (Landscape and Tile Show, 12th & 13th March)
