London Stone Now Offers Accredited CPD Courses in Natural Stone Specification
A new four-course programme gives landscape professionals certified learning in stone selection, performance and detailing.
London Stone has launched a certified CPD programme designed to give garden designers, landscape architects, architects and landscapers a stronger technical understanding of natural stone — how it performs, how it should be selected, and how to maintain it properly after a project is completed.
The programme is made up of four standalone courses, each running for two hours and worth 2 CPD points towards annual requirements. The topics covered are: understanding natural stone materials; specification and product selection; sealing, cleaning and maintenance; and bespoke natural stone and porcelain detailing. Each session includes the chance to ask technical questions and discuss common challenges with London Stone’s team. Attendees leave with a certificate and supporting documents they can refer to on future projects. Networking with fellow professionals is built into the format.
The courses have been developed with a clear purpose: to reduce the kind of specification errors that cause problems on site and create difficult conversations with clients. As natural stone continues to feature heavily in high-quality residential and commercial landscaping, the ability to specify the right material — and explain that choice clearly — matters more than ever. The programme is open to landscapers as well as those with formal CPD obligations, recognising that strong product knowledge benefits everyone working in the trade, regardless of their professional registration.
