Banding of Colours
Colour banding, or banding of colours within a slab, are usually found in sandstones, as colour variations or changes, some dramatic, others less so.
Some banding may appear almost as deliberate ‘drawings’ or patterns, appearing as ‘maps’ or ‘identifiable pictures’ drawn into the surface. Some clients may like the visual affect, whilst others will not. This banding does not normally affect the strength or integrity of the slab.
